Founding Product Manager
Supahealth is a US healthcare AI startup building the agentic operating system for behavioral health clinics. We are targeting the $250B behavioral health market, starting with the administrative work that makes care expensive, slow, and hard to scale.
Location: Bangalore, with quarterly US travel.
About Supahealth
Mental healthcare is growing fast, but the infrastructure behind it is broken. Clinicians spend hours on documentation. Clinics spend meaningful revenue on manual admin work. Back-office teams wait on hold with insurance payers, verify benefits by hand, file claims through payer portals, and chase denials months after a visit.
These workflows were built for a different era. They cannot scale to meet the demand coming online.
Supahealth automates the invisible work of running a mental health practice: intake, benefits verification, prior authorization, clinical documentation, claims filing, denial follow-up, payment tracking, and reporting. Our agents make calls, use browser workflows, reason through payer-specific rules, hand off to humans when needed, and learn from every outcome.
We are not selling dashboards. We are replacing the work itself.
The Role
We are looking for a founding PM to own the product function at Supahealth.
This is a product role for a fully agentic system: AI that takes action, makes decisions, traverses APIs, browser workflows, and phone calls, and knows when to ask a human for help. You will work directly with the founder and engineering team to define what we build, how these systems behave, how they earn trust, and how they improve over time.
The problem is genuinely hard. A mental health practice is a dense system of intake, scheduling, documentation, eligibility, prior authorization, claims, denials, payments, and clinical operations. Decisions in one workflow ripple into the next. Most of what we are building has no playbook. You will help write it.
You may be the only PM for a while. That means high leverage, low cover, and real ownership.
What You'll Own
- Product strategy and execution across Supahealth's core product surfaces: intake, scheduling, benefits verification, prior authorization, documentation, claims, denials, payments, reporting, and internal operations.
- Agentic workflow design: agent behavior, confidence thresholds, human-in-the-loop checkpoints, escalation paths, decision traces, and feedback loops.
- Deep customer work: discovery, onboarding, implementation, rollout, support, and sales support. You need to understand how clinicians, billers, operators, and practice owners actually work.
- Product design: flows, wireframes, UI specs, internal tools, and operator experiences. Design is how complex AI systems become legible to humans.
- Technical requirements: system logic, state transitions, agent behavior specs, edge cases, integrations, and failure modes.
- Execution: scoping, sequencing, milestones, releases, rollout plans, risk management, and unblocking engineering.
- The company feedback loop: turning customer calls, operator pain points, payer quirks, clinical workflows, and denial patterns into product decisions that make Supahealth smarter every week.
What We're Looking For
- 8-10 years in product management, with meaningful ownership of a complex product or major product surface.
- Experience building B2B, enterprise, workflow, vertical SaaS, fintech, healthcare, insurance, compliance, or other operationally complex products.
- Strong customer obsession. You spend time with users, understand their workflows in detail, and can translate messy reality into product clarity.
- Strong technical literacy. You do not need to be an engineer, but you should be comfortable reasoning with engineers about architecture, systems, integrations, and tradeoffs.
- Strong product design instincts. You care about how the product works and how it feels, especially for internal operators and customers using AI systems they need to trust.
- Clear writing. You can write PRDs, customer emails, implementation docs, and decision memos that reduce ambiguity.
- Agentic AI experience or strong mental models for products where AI takes action, gets things wrong, asks for help, and improves over time.
- Early-stage operating experience or the temperament for it: no playbook, high ambiguity, fast shipping, and direct exposure to customers.
- US-first product sensibility, ideally from working with US customers or at a US-focused company.
- Have a B1/B2 visa and can travel to the US regularly (
You Might Be a Fit If
- You are energized by hard, messy problems without obvious answers.
- You like being close to customers, operators, and engineering.
- You can move from strategy to PRD to wireframe to rollout plan in the same week.
- You make crisp scope calls and are comfortable defending what not to build.
- You communicate early, clearly, and without needing to be chased.
- You care about building beautiful, trustworthy products in a complex domain.
Not a Fit If
- You need established processes, rituals, and support systems to do your best work.
- You want to manage PMs more than build product.
- You prefer to stay away from customers or implementation details.
- You do not enjoy working through operational complexity.
- Your background and interests are primarily consumer product.
- You do not care much about design.
Compensation
Market-rate salary plus meaningful founding-team equity, calibrated to seniority and scope. We will be specific early in the process.
Hiring Process
- Intro conversation with the founders.
- Product deep dive on something you have shipped and one Supahealth product problem.
- Paid work trial on a real product problem.
- Decision and offer.
We aim to move quickly and give candidates a clear view into the company, the product, and the kind of work this role actually requires.
