Job Opening – Purchase Engineer
Location: Coimbatore

We are looking for a Purchase Engineer / Senior Purchase Engineer with strong experience in procurement, supplier development, and sourcing of engineering components for a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle end-to-end procurement activities from RFQ to Purchase Order.
- Develop new suppliers and maintain strong relationships with existing vendors.
- Source alternate suppliers to improve cost, quality and delivery performance.
- Coordinate with Design, Production, Planning, Quality and Stores for material requirements.
- Negotiate prices, commercial terms and delivery schedules.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time material availability.
- Support New Product Development (NPD) by identifying suitable suppliers.
- Prepare procurement MIS and ensure timely closure of purchase activities.

- PTFE & Engineering Plastic Components
- Rubber Moulded Components
- O-Rings, Gaskets & Sealing Components
- Stainless Steel Raw Materials (SS304 / SS316)
- Carbon & Alloy Steel Materials (EN8 / EN19 / EN24)
- Fabricated / Bought-out Engineering Components
Candidate Profile
- B.E. Mechanical / Production Engineering or Diploma with relevant experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Purchase / Procurement.
- Good understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in supplier development and commercial negotiations.
- Knowledge of ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred).
- Proficiency in MS Excel and procurement reporting.
Preferred Industry
Experience in Industrial Valves, Pumps, Heavy Engineering, Process Equipment or General Manufacturing will be preferred.
