Roles & Responsibilities1. Software Development
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable web applications and software services.
- Develop backend applications and REST APIs using Python, Django, and Django REST Framework (DRF).
- Build responsive and user-friendly frontend applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.js, Next.js, or similar modern frameworks.
- Develop and maintain software features for SaaS products, internal business applications, and automation platforms.
- Design and implement clean, maintainable, reusable, and scalable software components.
- Work with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, including database design, schema management, data modelling, and optimisation of SQL queries.
- Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs, third-party services, and external systems.
- Develop authentication, authorisation, API integrations, and other application-level services.
- Write unit, integration, and functional tests to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Debug application issues, identify root causes, and implement effective technical solutions.
- Improve application performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Participate in code reviews and follow established coding standards and software engineering best practices.
- Use Git and GitHub for source-code management, branching, code reviews, and collaborative development.
- Work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to understand requirements and convert them into practical technical solutions.
2. DevOps, Cloud & Infrastructure
- Design, implement, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines for application build, testing, deployment, and release processes.
- Automate software deployment processes to improve development speed, reliability, and consistency.
- Deploy and manage applications and backend services across cloud or server environments.
- Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, DigitalOcean, Azure, or similar platforms.
- Work with cloud services such as compute, storage, databases, networking, monitoring, and application hosting.
- Containerise applications using Docker and manage container-based deployment environments.
- Work with Linux/Unix environments, including basic system administration, shell commands, process management, permissions, and troubleshooting.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar technologies.
- Configure and maintain development, staging, and production environments.
- Manage environment variables, application configurations, secrets, deployment configurations, and service dependencies.
- Automate repetitive infrastructure, deployment, monitoring, and operational tasks using scripting and automation tools.
- Maintain reliable and repeatable deployment processes with appropriate rollback mechanisms.
- Collaborate with developers to identify and resolve deployment, infrastructure, and environment-related issues.
3. Monitoring, Reliability & Production Operations
- Monitor application health, infrastructure performance, system availability, and resource utilisation.
- Implement and maintain logging, monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions.
- Analyse application logs, system metrics, errors, and performance data to identify potential issues.
- Troubleshoot production incidents and deployment failures and work towards timely resolution.
- Perform root-cause analysis of recurring technical and production issues.
- Implement corrective and preventive measures to reduce recurring incidents and operational problems.
- Support application releases and production deployments.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and infrastructure limitations and recommend appropriate improvements.
- Contribute to improving application availability, reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- Assist in implementing backup, recovery, rollback, and disaster-recovery practices where required.
- Maintain appropriate technical documentation for deployment procedures, infrastructure configurations, troubleshooting processes, and operational workflows.
4. Security & Engineering Practices
- Follow secure software development practices while designing and implementing applications and APIs.
- Apply appropriate authentication, authorisation, access-control, and API-security practices.
- Follow secure handling of credentials, API keys, environment variables, and sensitive configuration data.
- Maintain appropriate permissions and access controls across development and deployment environments.
- Keep application dependencies, packages, libraries, and infrastructure components appropriately maintained.
- Identify potential security, reliability, and performance risks and communicate them to the relevant team members.
- Follow coding standards, version-control practices, code-review processes, testing standards, and deployment procedures.
5. AI-Assisted Development
- Use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and similar tools effectively in daily development workflows.
- Use AI tools for code generation, debugging, refactoring, documentation, testing, research, and development productivity.
- Validate AI-generated code for correctness, security, performance, maintainability, and compatibility before implementation.
- Explore and adopt suitable AI-enabled development practices that improve engineering productivity without compromising software quality.
6. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with product, design, engineering, and business teams to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Participate in technical discussions, architecture discussions, sprint planning, code reviews, and release activities.
- Communicate technical issues, progress, risks, and dependencies clearly to relevant stakeholders.
- Contribute to improving development workflows, deployment processes, infrastructure, and engineering practices.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and reduce repetitive operational work.
- Stay updated with modern software development, cloud, DevOps, automation, and AI-assisted engineering practices.
- Continuously learn and adopt technologies that can improve the scalability, reliability, security, and efficiency of Ralakde's products and platforms.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a Software Development Engineer, Software Engineer, Full Stack Developer, or similar engineering role is preferred.
- Strong programming fundamentals in Python and JavaScript.
- Practical experience with Django and Django REST Framework (DRF).
- Good knowledge of React.js, Next.js, or other modern frontend frameworks.
- Strong understanding of REST API design, development, integration, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive web development.
- Good understanding of relational databases and SQL.
- Practical experience with PostgreSQL.
- Strong understanding of Git and GitHub workflows.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle, testing, code reviews, and version control.
- Working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and shell commands.
- Practical understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
- Familiarity with Docker and containerisation.
- Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, DigitalOcean, or equivalent.
- Understanding of basic cloud infrastructure concepts including compute, storage, networking, databases, and security.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Understanding of application monitoring, logging, alerting, and troubleshooting.
- Good problem-solving, debugging, analytical, and root-cause-analysis skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a technical team.
Preferred Skills
- Experience deploying and maintaining production applications on AWS, DigitalOcean, Azure, or similar cloud platforms.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant professional software development experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining software applications.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.

Work Schedule
- Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Sunday: Weekly Off

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
