Job Description – Import & Export Manager
Role Overview
we are looking for an experienced Import & Export Manager to manage
end-to-end international trade operations. The candidate will be responsible for
import/export documentation, customs clearance, logistics coordination, regulatory
compliance, vendor management, and ensuring timely movement of goods.
Key Responsibilities
Manage complete import and export operations, including documentation,
customs clearance, shipping, and delivery.
Prepare and verify documents such as invoices, packing lists, Bills of
Lading/Airway Bills, Certificates of Origin, Letters of Credit, and shipping bills.
Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, transporters,
banks, suppliers, and government authorities.
Ensure compliance with customs regulations, DGFT guidelines, FEMA, GST, and
other applicable import/export laws.
Handle IEC, licenses, authorizations, duty exemptions, and export incentive
schemes, where applicable.
Negotiate freight rates and service terms with logistics partners.
Track shipments and ensure timely clearance and delivery of goods.
Manage import duties, demurrage, detention, port charges, and other logistics-
related costs.
Coordinate with purchase, production, finance, sales, and warehouse teams.
Maintain accurate records and provide MIS reports on shipments, costs, lead
times, and pending documentation.
Resolve shipment delays, customs queries, documentation discrepancies, and
other operational issues.
Monitor changes in international trade policies and implement necessary process
updates.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with overseas suppliers and
customers.
Identify opportunities to reduce logistics costs and improve operational efficiency.
Candidate Requirements
Graduate or postgraduate degree in International Business, Supply Chain
Management, Logistics, Commerce, or a related field.
Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in import and export operations.
Strong knowledge of customs procedures, DGFT regulations, Incoterms,
shipping documentation, and international logistics.
Experience in manufacturing, fitness equipment, engineering, or a related
industry will be preferred.
Good understanding of Letters of Credit, foreign remittances, and banking
documentation.
Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and shipment-tracking tools.
Strong negotiation, problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple shipments and work within strict timelines.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
