Responsible for preparing all design related drawings as required for execution of fresh and running projects

SECTION II: JOB SUMMARY

The Process Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, optimization, and troubleshooting of industrial processes within the scope of EPC projects. The role includes ensuring that the processes meet safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory standards while optimizing for cost-efficiency, reliability, and performance.

SECTION III: DO – KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

Process Design & Engineering

Develop and design process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and other engineering documentation.

Perform process simulations and calculations to optimize system design and efficiency.

Create mass and energy balance models and ensure adherence to project specifications.

Specify equipment and components such as pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, and reactors in coordination with the procurement team.

Project Coordination

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, civil, and construction) to ensure seamless integration of processes into the overall project.

Provide process-related inputs for the procurement of equipment and materials, ensuring technical compliance and quality.

Ensure all process-related activities are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Assist in project scheduling, tracking, and reporting to ensure milestones are met.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

Conduct safety reviews (HAZOP, LOPA) to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and local regulations (API, ASME, etc.).

Conduct and participate in process safety management (PSM) activities.

Optimization & Troubleshooting

Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for improvements to reduce operational costs, energy consumption, and emissions.

Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis of process-related issues during commissioning and operation phases.

Support the commissioning team to ensure the processes operate as designed.

Documentation & Reporting

Prepare and review process-related reports, technical documents, and presentations for clients and internal teams.

Maintain detailed records of calculations, design changes, and project decisions.

Measurable Deliverables

6+ years of experience as a Process Engineer in the EPC industry or a related field.

Proven experience in designing, optimizing, and troubleshooting industrial processes.

Hands-on experience with process simulation software (Aspen Plus, HYSYS, etc.) and process control systems.

Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) is a plus

Specific Experience

Strong knowledge of process design, process control, and instrumentation.

Proficiency in industry standards (ASME, API, ISO, etc.) and regulatory compliance.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.

Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and engineering tools.

Over all Experience

6 + years of overall design experience
