Job Summary
The Store Supervisor is responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of the stores department, ensuring timely receipt, storage, issue, and inventory control of raw materials, finished goods, consumables, and spare parts. The role ensures proper documentation, stock accuracy, compliance with company procedures, and uninterrupted material availability for production. Store supervisors typically oversee inventory, receiving, issuing, documentation, and team coordination to maintain efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily store activities, including material receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance.
- Ensure proper GRN, material issue slips, stock transfer notes, and gate pass documentation.
- Maintain accurate stock records in ERP/Excel and reconcile physical stock with system records.
- Monitor minimum, maximum, and reorder stock levels.
- Conduct daily, monthly, and annual physical stock verification.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Production, QA, and Dispatch departments for smooth material movement.
- Ensure FIFO/FEFO practices where applicable.
- Maintain proper identification, labeling, and storage of materials.
- Supervise store staff and allocate daily work.
- Ensure housekeeping, 5S, and safety standards within the store.
- Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory.
- Prepare daily and monthly inventory reports for management.
- Prevent inventory loss through proper control and documentation.
- Support internal and external inventory audits.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Diploma in Material Management will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 3–6 years of experience in stores or warehouse operations.
- Experience in a cable manufacturing, electrical, or engineering industry preferred.
Pay: ₹12,101.28 - ₹41,774.45 per month
