Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and proactive System Administrator / IT Technician to manage the organization's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networking, internet connectivity, servers, security systems, and user support. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth IT operations, maintaining system uptime, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing IT best practices.
Key Responsibilities
System Administration
* Install, configure, monitor, and maintain Windows and Linux servers.
* Manage Active Directory, Group Policies, user accounts, and access controls.
* Perform server health monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
* Configure and manage file servers, print servers, and application servers.
* Maintain backup and disaster recovery processes.
* Monitor server logs and system performance.
Network Administration
* Configure and manage LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, routers, switches, and firewalls.
* Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
* Manage IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and network security.
* Coordinate with ISPs for internet-related issues and upgrades.
* Ensure network availability and uptime.
Hardware Management
* Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, biometric devices, CCTV systems, and peripherals.
* Diagnose and resolve hardware failures and technical issues.
* Maintain IT asset inventory and hardware lifecycle records.
* Coordinate repairs and replacements with vendors.
Software Management
* Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot operating systems and business applications.
* Manage software licensing and compliance.
* Provide support for Microsoft Office 365, Outlook, Teams, and other business applications.
* Deploy software updates and security patches.
IT Support & Helpdesk
* Provide first and second-level technical support to employees.
* Resolve IT tickets within defined SLA timelines.
* Support remote users and branch offices.
* Conduct user onboarding and IT orientation for new employees.
Cybersecurity & Data Protection
* Manage antivirus, endpoint security, and firewall solutions.
* Implement IT security policies and procedures.
* Monitor unauthorized access attempts and security incidents.
* Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and company policies.
* Conduct regular data backups and recovery testing.
Cloud & Email Administration
* Manage Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace environments.
* Configure email accounts, distribution groups, and security settings.
* Support cloud storage and collaboration tools.
* Monitor cloud services and user access controls.
Vendor & Documentation Management
* Coordinate with hardware, software, and internet service vendors.
* Manage AMC contracts and IT procurement activities.
* Maintain IT documentation, network diagrams, SOPs, and asset registers.
* Prepare weekly and monthly IT reports.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
* Certifications such as CCNA, MCSA, MCSE, CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Azure Administrator, or equivalent will be preferred.
