Job Description:
We are hiring an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer (Static Equipment) for a reputed European MNC in Kolkata. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in static equipment design for process industries and hands-on experience with international design codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of mechanical datasheets, design, and supply specifications for: Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Columns
- Other static equipmentPreparation of Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) sheets
- Technical coordination with manufacturers/vendors for resolving technical queries
- Interdisciplinary coordination with piping, civil, electrical, and process teams
- Supporting site construction activities and incorporating client comments effectively
- Performing and reviewing design calculations for static equipment used in process industries
- Reviewing materials used in: Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Storage Tanks, Boilers, other static equipment.
Requirements:
- BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- 5–10 years of experience in equipment/static design engineering
- Experience in Steel, Power, or Oil & Gas projects
- Strong knowledge of Codes & Standards: ASME Sec VIII Div 1 & 2
- Hands-on experience in PV ELITE is mandatory
- Preferred SkillsStrong technical coordination and communication skills
- Ability to handle vendor discussions and multidisciplinary coordinationExperience in EPC / Industrial projects preferred
