Position: XML Production Executive
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Experience: 1–3 years in XML production preferred
Job Responsibilities
- Convert and structure content from PDF/source files into XML.
- Work on complex books and structured content.
- Apply appropriate XML tagging based on project/client specifications.
- Handle headings, paragraphs, lists, tables, images, equations, footnotes, references, citations, and other elements.
- Perform XML validation and quality checks.
- Identify and correct tagging and structural errors.
- Ensure the XML output follows the required schema and client guidelines.
- Coordinate with EPUB and WebPDF production teams when required.
- Complete assigned pages within the agreed production timeline.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of XML and XML tagging.
- Understanding of document structure and semantic tagging.
- Familiarity with XML validation and quality-checking tools.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work with complex and technical content.
- Basic knowledge of HTML/EPUB is an advantage.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in digital publishing/XML conversion.
- Experience with academic, technical, or STM content is preferred.
