Key Responsibilities
- Dispense medications accurately based on prescriptions and ensure compliance with hospital protocols.
- Review prescriptions for appropriateness, dosage, and potential drug interactions.
- Maintain proper storage and handling of medicines, including temperature-sensitive drugs.
- Ensure availability of stock and coordinate with procurement for timely replenishment.
- Provide medication-related information and counseling to patients and caregivers.
- Maintain accurate records of drug inventory, billing, and controlled substances.
- Adhere to regulatory requirements and hospital policies for pharmacy operations.
- Collaborate with doctors and nursing staff to ensure safe and effective medication use.
- Monitor expiry dates and ensure timely removal of expired or damaged stock.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) / Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm).
- Valid State Pharmacy Council Registration.
- 3–4 years of experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical drugs, dosages, and interactions.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in shifts and handle emergency situations efficiently.
