About the Role
National Institute of Education and Development (NIED) is seeking an experienced Process Control & Automation Trainer to deliver industry-focused training in Industrial Automation, Process Control, Instrumentation, PLC, SCADA, HMI, and Smart Manufacturing Systems. The trainer will be responsible for equipping candidates with practical skills required for modern manufacturing, process industries, and automation-driven workplaces.
The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise, hands-on industrial experience, and the ability to conduct practical and project-based learning sessions aligned with industry requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesTraining Delivery
- Conduct classroom and laboratory-based training sessions.
- Deliver practical demonstrations on industrial automation systems.
- Train candidates on process control principles and industrial applications.
- Develop lesson plans, training materials, and practical exercises.
- Facilitate project-based and experiential learning activities.
- Conduct workshops on automation technologies and smart manufacturing.

Assessment & Documentation
- Conduct theoretical and practical assessments.
- Monitor trainee attendance, performance, and progress.

- Ensure compliance with project guidelines and quality standards.
Industry & Placement Support
- Support placement-linked skill development programs.
- Guide trainees on industry practices and workplace readiness.
- Organize industrial visits, practical exposure sessions, and guest lectures.
- Assist trainees with interview preparation and career guidance.
Required Qualifications
- B.Tech/B.E. in:
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronics Engineering
- Instrumentation Engineering
- Automation Engineering
- Mechatronics Engineering
- Related Engineering Discipline
- Certifications in PLC, SCADA, Industrial Automation, Instrumentation, or Industry 4.0 technologies will be preferred.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of industry and/or training experience in:
- Industrial Automation
- Process Control Systems
- Instrumentation Engineering
- Manufacturing Industries
- Power Plants
- Oil & Gas Sector
- Industrial Training Institutes
- Automation Solution Providers
- Experience in Skill Development, NSDC, PMKVY, CSR, Government, or Employment-linked Training Programs will be preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of industrial process control systems.
- Practical knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Experience with SCADA and HMI development.
- Understanding of sensors, transmitters, and industrial instrumentation.
- Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, etc.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve automation-related issues.
- Understanding of Industry 4.0 and smart factory concepts.
