Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and responsible Welder to join our solar installation team. The candidate will be responsible for welding and fabricating solar module mounting structures, support frames, and related metal components while ensuring quality, safety, and project timelines are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform welding, cutting, grinding, and fabrication of solar mounting structures and support frames.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Assemble and install metal structures for rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects.
- Inspect welded joints and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Operate welding equipment, power tools, and fabrication machinery safely.
- Conduct repair and maintenance of metal structures when required.
- Follow all workplace safety regulations and use appropriate PPE.
- Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and installation teams to complete projects on schedule.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition.
- Report material requirements and site issues to the supervisor.
Requirements
- ITI / Diploma or equivalent qualification in Welding, Fabrication, or a related field.
- Minimum 1–3 years of welding experience (solar industry experience preferred).
- Knowledge of Arc Welding, MIG Welding, and fabrication techniques.
- Ability to read technical drawings and measurements accurately.
- Familiarity with solar mounting structures is an added advantage.
- Physically fit and willing to work at project sites.
- Strong attention to quality and safety standards.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in solar EPC projects.
- Knowledge of structural fabrication and erection.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
