Job Summary
We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Design Engineer with hands-on experience in SolidWorks to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, modifying, and optimizing mechanical designs, preparing technical drawings, and supporting product development activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Create 3D models, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
- Develop product designs based on customer requirements and engineering specifications.
- Prepare BOMs (Bill of Materials) and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and procurement teams for design implementation.
- Perform design modifications and engineering change management.
- Ensure designs comply with manufacturing standards and quality requirements.
- Support prototype development, testing, and product improvement initiatives.
- Troubleshoot design-related issues and provide effective engineering solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in mechanical design engineering.
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (Part Modeling, Assembly, Sheet Metal, and Drafting).
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of GD&T, tolerances, and material selection.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in product design and development.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and other CAD software.
- Knowledge of fabrication, machining, or sheet metal design.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
