Job Purpose
To manage and control all store operations, including receipt, storage, issuance, and inventory management of materials, ensuring accuracy, proper documentation, stock availability, and compliance with company procedures.
Key ResponsibilitiesStore Operations
- Oversee daily store activities, including receipt, storage, and issue of materials.
- Ensure proper storage and preservation of materials to prevent damage, loss, or deterioration.
- Maintain orderly arrangement and identification of stock items.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment.
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP/software and physical registers.
- Conduct periodic stock verification and cycle counts.
- Reconcile physical stock with system records and investigate discrepancies.
- Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory.
Material Receipt & Issue
- Verify quantity and quality of incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery challans.
- Ensure proper documentation for Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), Material Issue Notes (MIN), and stock transfers.
- Issue materials only against approved requisitions.
- Coordinate with procurement and user departments regarding material requirements.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain all store-related records, registers, and reports.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
- Track stock movement and consumption patterns.
- Ensure proper filing of invoices, delivery notes, and stock records.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with company policies and inventory control procedures.
- Implement safety practices in the store and warehouse areas.
- Ensure proper handling of hazardous, perishable, or sensitive materials where applicable.
- Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness within the store premises.
Team Management
- Supervise store assistants, warehouse staff, and material handlers.
- Allocate duties and monitor staff performance.
- Train team members on inventory procedures and safety standards.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Diploma in Materials Management or Store Management preferred.
Experience
- 3–8 years of experience in Stores, Inventory Management, Warehouse Operations, or Supply Chain.
- Experience in Manufacturing, Construction, FMCG, Agriculture, Dairy, Farm Operations, or Retail sectors preferred.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
