Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Structural Draftsman with strong AutoCAD skills to support engineering and construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed structural drawings, GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and construction documentation in accordance with project specifications, engineering standards, and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare structural steel and reinforced concrete drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop General Arrangement (GA) drawings, fabrication drawings, and erection drawings.
- Interpret engineering designs, sketches, and calculations to produce accurate drafting deliverables.
- Coordinate with Structural Engineers, Project Engineers, and BIM teams for drawing development and revisions.
- Prepare detailed shop drawings, connection details, and construction drawings.
- Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project standards.
- Maintain drawing registers and revision control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Incorporate client comments and engineering changes into drawings.
- Support project documentation and drawing submissions as per project schedules.
- Ensure adherence to international drafting standards and quality requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / ITI / Technical Certification in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering.
- 5–10 years of experience in structural drafting and detailing.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting mandatory).
- Experience in structural steel and concrete detailing projects.
- Good understanding of engineering drawings, standards, and construction practices.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Tekla Structures, Advance Steel, or Revit.
- Knowledge of AISC, BS, Eurocode, or relevant structural standards.
- Experience working on industrial, oil & gas, infrastructure, commercial, or power projects.
- Familiarity with BIM workflows and multidisciplinary coordination.
