- Measuring and Cutting: Read blueprints to mark, measure, and cut solid wood and plywood sheets to exact sizes.
- Assembly and Fabrication: Build cabinets, custom furniture, shelves, doors, and window frames.
- Installation: Fit and secure wooden fixtures, floorboards, partitions, and frameworks on-site.
- Maintenance and Repair: Inspect damaged wooden parts and replace or fix them using hand and power tools.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Tool Proficiency: Safely operate saws, drills, sanders, routers, and hand tools.
- Material Knowledge: Understand different wood types, solid lumber, and plywood grades (such as MR or BWR/BWP grades).
- Physical Fitness: Ability to stand for long hours, bend, and lift heavy materials.
