Position Overview:
We are seeking a meticulous and strategically minded Financial Controller to join our team at Stashfin. The Financial Controller will assume a critical role in overseeing our financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and delivering insightful financial analyses to support our growth objectives. This position necessitates a blend of accounting expertise, leadership acumen, and a profound understanding of the fintech landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present precise financial statements and reports in accordance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the budgeting process, encompassing financial forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic planning.
- Internal Controls: Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to all financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements pertinent to the fintech sector.
- Financial Analysis: Provide comprehensive financial analyses and insights to facilitate decision-making and support strategic initiatives across the organization.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with executive leadership, investors, and other stakeholders to communicate financial performance and strategic initiatives.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and efficiency gains within the finance function.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; an MBA or CPA designation is preferred.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in financial controllership or a similar capacity, ideally within the fintech or financial services sector.
- Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and articulate insights effectively.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, with advanced skills in Excel.
