Job Summary
TRAX Diagnostics is looking for a skilled and responsible Lab Technician to support our laboratory operations in Hyderabad. The candidate will be responsible for sample processing, laboratory testing, maintaining quality standards, documentation, and following laboratory safety and SOPs.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in a diagnostic laboratory and a strong understanding of laboratory procedures, sample handling, and quality control.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine laboratory procedures and testing as per established SOPs.
- Receive, identify, label, process, and maintain patient samples accurately.
- Handle and process blood and other clinical specimens as required.
- Perform sample preparation, centrifugation, aliquoting, and storage.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment as per SOP and manufacturer guidelines.
- Ensure proper documentation of test results, sample processing, and laboratory activities.
- Maintain accurate records and follow laboratory quality standards.
- Perform internal quality control procedures and report deviations promptly.
- Follow proper biosafety, infection control, and laboratory safety practices.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of biological and laboratory waste.
- Coordinate with senior laboratory staff for sample processing and testing requirements.
- Identify and report sample-related issues, discrepancies, or quality concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory and work areas.
- Monitor laboratory consumables and inform the concerned team about stock requirements.
- Follow company policies, laboratory SOPs, and quality management procedures.
- Support other laboratory activities and technical requirements as assigned.
Eligibility & Requirements
- B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- DMLT / BMLT candidates with relevant experience may also be considered.
- 1–2 years of experience in a diagnostic laboratory or healthcare laboratory preferred.
- Good knowledge of sample collection, processing, handling, and storage.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory instruments and diagnostic procedures.
- Good understanding of laboratory safety and quality control practices.
- Good documentation and record-maintenance skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a laboratory team.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Willingness to learn advanced diagnostic and laboratory techniques.
Preferred Experience
Experience in Diagnostics / Healthcare / Hospitals / Medical Laboratories will be preferred.
Candidates with exposure to Immunology, Molecular Diagnostics, HLA Testing, Transplant Diagnostics, PCR, or related laboratory techniques will be an added advantage.
