Job Summary
Marteq Energy Pty Ltd is looking for a skilled Reverse Engineering / Point Cloud Modelling Engineer to work on industrial engineering and fabrication projects.
The role involves converting 3D laser scan data (point clouds) into accurate 3D CAD models and fabrication drawings for industrial structures, equipment, piping systems, and mining infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and validate laser scan data (E57, RCP, RCS, etc.)
- Check scan quality and identify missing or incomplete scan areas
- Process and clean point cloud data for modelling purposes
- Convert point cloud data into mesh and solid CAD models
- Create accurate 3D models using SolidWorks or similar software
- Prepare Navisworks models for coordination and project reviews
- Generate detailed 2D fabrication and engineering drawings
- Coordinate with engineering and fabrication teams for model updates
- Perform model validation, clash checks, and design modifications
- Maintain proper project documentation and drawing records
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience working with point cloud data and scan-to-CAD workflows
- Strong knowledge of reverse engineering techniques
- Experience with:
- SolidWorks
- AutoCAD
- Navisworks
- Autodesk ReCap
- FARO Scene
- Geomagic Design X / Wrap
- CloudCompare or similar software
- Ability to create fabrication drawings from 3D models
- Understanding of industrial structures, mechanical equipment, piping, and steel fabrication
Preferred Industry Experience

Deliverables
The selected candidate should be able to deliver:
- Cleaned and validated point cloud files
- Mesh models
- SolidWorks 3D models
- Navisworks coordination models
- 2D fabrication drawings
- Complete engineering drawing packages
- Project progress updates and technical reports
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Reverse Engineering or Industrial 3D Modelling
- Strong understanding of fabrication drawings and engineering workflows
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines
Additional Requirements
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to handle large point cloud datasets
- Experience in mining, offshore, or heavy industrial projects is an added advantage
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
