About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in hotel, restaurant, or hospitality accounting and will be responsible for managing daily financial operations, bookkeeping, inventory control, reporting, payroll, and statutory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Operations
- Reconcile daily guest room revenue (night audit).
- Verify and reconcile restaurant/POS sales transactions.
- Monitor daily cash collections and deposits.
Bookkeeping & Accounting
- Manage Accounts Payable, including vendor and supplier payments.
- Handle Accounts Receivable, guest billing, and collections.
- Maintain accurate financial records and General Ledger entries.
Inventory & Cost Control
- Monitor food, beverage, and housekeeping inventory.
- Track costs and perform variance analysis.
- Support cost-control initiatives and inventory audits.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare daily cash reports and monthly expense summaries.
- Conduct bank reconciliations.
- Generate MIS reports and financial statements as required by management.
Payroll & Compliance
- Process employee payroll accurately and on time.
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other applicable tax regulations.
- Maintain proper documentation for audits and statutory requirements.
Coordination
- Collaborate with operations, purchase, and management teams to ensure smooth financial processes.
- Support budgeting and financial planning activities.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience in the hotel, hospitality, or restaurant industry.
- Proficiency in Tally, QuickBooks, or similar accounting/ERP software.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MIS reporting.
- Good understanding of inventory management, vendor payments, and cost control.
- Familiarity with GST, TDS, payroll processing, and statutory compliance.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
- B.Com or M.Com degree.
- Experience in hospitality accounting environments.
- Knowledge of hotel management systems and POS reconciliation is an advantage.
