Job Description:
Futurism Tech is seeking a highly experienced Associate Manager -IT with at least 12 years of experience to join and lead our internal IT team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in managing a wide range of IT infrastructure technologies and also demonstrate leadership capabilities by supervising and mentoring the IT support team. The L3 engineer will be responsible for advanced troubleshooting, team oversight, and ensuring optimal performance and security of our IT systems, including endpoints, servers, networking, and security tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Endpoint Management: Oversee the management and troubleshooting of Windows and macOS endpoints, ensuring proper configuration, security, and compliance across the organization.
Server Administration: Lead and manage the administration of both Windows and Linux servers, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and ensuring high availability.
Identity Management: Supervise and manage local Exchange and Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) environments to maintain secure authentication, user access management, and directory services.
Firewall & Network Security: Manage and configure SonicWall and FortiGate firewalls, ensuring secure and optimized network traffic, VPN configurations, and security policy enforcement.
Backup & Disaster Recovery: Ensure the backup solutions are functioning as intended, develop disaster recovery strategies, and supervise backup processes for critical data.
Networking: Supervise the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of wireless access points (APs), routers, and switches, ensuring stable and secure network connectivity.
Security Operations & Threat Management: Manage and monitor Microsoft Defender for XDR to ensure the highest level of endpoint and network security, handling alerts, and ensuring quick resolution of security issues.
L3 Troubleshooting & Incident Management: Lead the team in troubleshooting and resolving complex IT-related incidents escalated by Level 1 and 2 support. Ensure quick resolution of issues and minimize downtime.
Team Supervision & Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and guide the IT support team (L1/L2), ensuring proper knowledge transfer, training, and adherence to IT best practices. Oversee daily support tasks and ensure the team is performing effectively.
Documentation & Reporting: Lead the documentation of IT systems, network configurations, security protocols, and troubleshooting procedures. Regularly report on system performance, incidents, and improvements to management.
Project Management & Deployment: Coordinate IT projects, upgrades, and system migrations. Ensure that projects are executed within scope, budget, and on time, while providing guidance to junior team members.
Collaboration with Other Teams: Collaborate with other business units to support their technical needs, ensuring smooth and efficient technology deployment and troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in IT systems and infrastructure management, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role, including:
In-depth knowledge of Windows and macOS endpoint management.
Extensive experience in Windows and Linux server administration.
Hands-on experience with local Exchange and Azure AD.
Expertise in SonicWall and FortiGate firewalls.
Strong understanding of backup solutions and disaster recovery plans.
Networking experience (routers, switches, wireless APs).
Proficient in security operations and tools like Microsoft Defender for XDR.
Experience in leading and mentoring IT teams, particularly in a helpdesk or infrastructure support environment.
Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency with Windows Server, Linux, and macOS operating systems.
Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and Azure AD.
Expertise in firewall management (SonicWall, FortiGate).
Advanced understanding of backup systems and data protection strategies.
Networking knowledge, including configuration and troubleshooting of wireless APs, routers, and switches.
Experience with enterprise-level security tools, particularly Microsoft Defender for XDR.

Familiarity with ITIL practices and service management frameworks.
Certifications (Preferred):
Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, Azure, or equivalent certifications.
CompTIA Security+ or equivalent security certifications.
Fortinet (FortiGate) or SonicWall certifications.
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher.
ITIL Foundation or higher.
