About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Lead Robotics Engineer to lead the design and development of intelligent robotic systems for real-world autonomous applications. This role requires strong expertise in robotics software, ROS/ROS2, navigation, manipulation, and robot control systems. You will lead a team of engineers while remaining hands-on in designing scalable robotics solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of robotics software for autonomous robotic systems.
- Develop robust robot manipulation, motion planning, navigation, and control algorithms.
- Design and implement robotics applications using ROS/ROS2.
- Build scalable robotics software architectures and reusable software components.
- Develop and optimize navigation and manipulation pipelines for real-world robotic deployments.
- Collaborate with AI, Perception, and Controls teams to deliver integrated robotic solutions.
- Review technical designs, conduct code reviews, and establish engineering best practices.
- Lead and mentor a team of 4–5 engineers while actively contributing as an Individual Contributor (IC).
- Drive technical discussions, architecture decisions, and product development initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of industry experience in Robotics Software Development.
- Strong hands-on experience with ROS/ROS2 and solid understanding of ROS fundamentals.
- Proven experience in robot navigation, motion planning, and robotic manipulation.
- Experience developing control systems for autonomous robots.
- Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
- Experience designing scalable robotics software for production environments.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and system integration skills.
- Experience leading engineering teams while remaining hands-on technically.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in robot learning.
- Experience with localization, mapping, and perception systems.
- Exposure to simulation platforms such as Isaac Sim, Gazebo, or similar tools.
- Experience with MoveIt2, Nav2, or related robotics frameworks.
- Knowledge of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), industrial robotics, or robotic manipulation systems.
- Experience working in fast-paced product or startup environments.
Leadership Expectations
- Lead a team of 4–5 Robotics Engineers.
- Mentor team members and support their technical growth.
- Own end-to-end delivery of robotics software features.
