Role Summary
Brookfield International School is looking for a disciplined, alert, and experienced Security Officer to manage the complete safety and security operations of the school campus. The candidate should preferably be a retired ex-serviceman, ex-police, or paramilitary professional with relevant experience in school, institutional, residential society, industrial, or large campus security operations.
The role requires strong gate control, visitor management, student safety supervision, guard management, discipline, emergency handling, and daily monitoring of campus security.
Key Responsibilities
- · Gate and Entry/Exit Management: Strictly control all entry and exit points; supervise arrival and dispersal; prevent unauthorized entry; and monitor movement of students, staff, parents, visitors, vendors, vehicles, and materials.
- · Student Safety and Campus Security: Maintain a safe environment for students, staff, parents, and visitors; conduct regular rounds of buildings, corridors, grounds, parking, gates, boundary walls, washrooms, and sensitive areas.
- · Visitor Management: Ensure ID verification, visitor slips/passes, register maintenance, and prior approval from reception/admin before allowing visitors beyond the gate.
- · Security Guard Supervision: Brief, deploy, monitor, and discipline all security guards; prepare duty rosters, gate assignments, break schedules, and replacement arrangements.
- · Campus and Floor Monitoring: Move across the campus regularly to prevent unsafe movement, unauthorized access, crowding, negligence, or security lapses.
- · Transport and Dispersal Safety: Coordinate with transport staff, duty teachers, and guards during bus arrival/departure and parent pick-up/drop-off movement.
- · Incident Prevention and Reporting: Identify risks proactively; report lapses immediately; maintain daily security reports, visitor registers, gate registers, material movement records, and incident reports.
- · Events and Special Duties: Plan security arrangements for PTMs, annual functions, sports days, examinations, competitions, guest visits, and other school events, including crowd and parking support.
Required Experience
· Minimum 5-10 years of relevant security supervision experience.
· Preference for retired Army / Air Force / Navy / Police / Paramilitary personnel.
· Prior experience in a school, college, university, hospital, township, corporate campus, industrial unit, or large institutional campus will be preferred.
· Must have hands-on experience in managing security guards, gate operations, visitor control, and emergency handling.
Required Skills and Qualities
- · Disciplined, alert, physically active, well-groomed, and punctual.
- · Strong command over guards and ground staff, with a firm but polite communication style.
- · Child-safety mindset with zero tolerance for unauthorized entry, negligence, or unsafe practices.
- · Ability to handle parents, visitors, vendors, drivers, and staff professionally.
- · Basic written reporting ability in English/Hindi/Punjabi and ability to maintain registers and daily reports.
- · Calm under pressure and capable of coordinating during emergencies.
- · Basic CCTV/computer awareness will be an added advantage.
Educational Qualification
· Minimum 12th pass; graduate preferred.
· Ex-serviceman / ex-police / paramilitary background preferred.
Reporting
The Security Officer will report to the Admin Head / Principal / Management Representative and will coordinate daily with school administration, transport, housekeeping, and academic teams wherever required.
Working Hours
As per school requirements. The candidate must be available during school opening, dispersal, inspections, events, and emergency situations as required.

We are looking for a mature, responsible, and experienced person who understands that school security is not merely gatekeeping, but the complete responsibility of ensuring the safety of children, staff, parents, visitors, and the school campus. Prior school security experience will be strongly preferred.
