The Primary Coordinator is responsible for the effective planning, coordination, monitoring, and implementation of academic and co-curricular activities for the Primary Section (Grades I–V). The role involves ensuring high standards of teaching, student discipline, faculty performance, and parent communication.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Management
- Plan and monitor the academic calendar for the primary section.
- Ensure timely completion of the syllabus as per the academic plan.
- Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to teachers.
- Monitor lesson plans, worksheets, assessments, and student progress.
- Coordinate examinations, evaluations, and result preparation.
Faculty Management
- Guide, mentor, and support primary teachers in improving instructional practices.
- Conduct regular meetings with teachers to review academic progress.
- Ensure adherence to school policies, schedules, and academic standards.
- Assist in teacher induction, training, and performance evaluation.
Student Development
- Monitor student attendance, discipline, and overall well-being.
- Identify students requiring academic or behavioral support and coordinate interventions.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Parent Communication
- Address parent concerns and maintain effective communication with parents.
- Organize and coordinate Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs).
- Share student progress and school updates with parents as required.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain academic records, reports, and documentation.
- Coordinate school events, competitions, assemblies, and special programs.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of the primary section.
- Support admissions, orientation programs, and school inspections.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Education or relevant subject.
- B.Ed. qualification preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of teaching experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or coordination role.
