Boston Tech India builds and supports NextGen AI Cloud, our cloud platform. We're looking for an IT Support Engineer with strong Linux and networking fundamentals to join our support team in Salem, Tamil Nadu.
Job Summary
We are hiring an IT Support Engineer to handle Linux server administration, network troubleshooting, and day-to-day technical support for our NextGen AI Cloud product. This is a great opportunity for freshers as well as experienced candidates (up to 3 years) who want to build a career in cloud infrastructure and IT support.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (Ubuntu/CentOS/RHEL)
- Monitor server health, uptime, and performance of cloud infrastructure
- Troubleshoot network issues (LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP, firewall, VPN)
- Provide first-line and second-line technical support to internal teams and clients
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and basic system security
- Perform routine backups, patching, and system updates
- Document issues, resolutions, and standard operating procedures
- Coordinate with the development/DevOps team for escalations
- Support and maintain network devices (routers, switches, firewalls)
Required Skills
- Good understanding of Linux administration (file systems, shell/bash basics, user management, services)
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, subnetting, VPN, firewall)
- Familiarity with server monitoring and troubleshooting
- Willingness to learn cloud platforms and AI-based products
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
Good to Have
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Basic scripting knowledge (Bash/Python)
- Exposure to virtualization (VMware/KVM/Docker)
- Certifications like RHCSA, CCNA, CompTIA Network+/Linux+
Eligibility & Qualification
- BCA, MCA, M.Sc (Computer Science), or any degree with a relevant IT/networking/Linux certification
- Freshers are welcome to apply
- Up to 3 years of relevant experience considered
Location
Salem, Tamil Nadu (candidates based in or willing to relocate to Salem preferred)
Pay: ₹5,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
