Job Summary
The Accounts & Audit Assistant is responsible for supporting the organization’s accounting, financial reporting, and audit functions by ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions, maintaining statutory records, and assisting in compliance with applicable accounting, taxation, and regulatory requirements. The role involves coordinating with various departments, supporting internal and statutory audits, and ensuring adherence to company policies and internal control procedures.
Key Responsibilities
· Record purchase, sales, payment, receipt, journal, contra, debit note, credit note, and adjustment entries in Tally Prime/ERP.
· Verify invoices, vouchers, purchase orders, goods receipt notes (GRN), debit/credit notes, and supporting documents before accounting transactions.
· Maintain accurate books of accounts and ensure timely recording of all financial transactions.
· Perform bank reconciliations, vendor reconciliations, customer reconciliations, inter-company reconciliations, and general ledger reconciliations.
· Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities, including preparation of schedules and supporting working papers.
· Prepare audit schedules and provide supporting documents for statutory audits, internal audits, tax audits, GST audits, and other regulatory audits.
· Coordinate with auditors and respond to audit queries by providing accurate records and explanations.
· Assist in GST, TDS, Income Tax, Professional Tax, and other statutory compliance activities, including reconciliation of returns with accounting records.
· Maintain fixed asset registers, capitalization records, depreciation schedules, and supporting documentation.
· Verify accounting entries relating to inventory transactions and assist in physical stock verification and inventory reconciliation.
· Prepare Management Information System (MIS) reports, financial analyses, ageing reports, outstanding reports, and other reports as required by management.
· Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and assist in follow-up activities where required.
· Maintain proper filing, indexing, and safe custody of accounting records, audit files, statutory documents, and financial reports.
· Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), statutory regulations, and internal control procedures.
· Support implementation and continuous improvement of accounting processes and internal controls.
· Perform any other accounting, finance, or audit-related assignments as directed by the reporting manager.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent.
· 1–3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or audit.
· Working knowledge of Tally Prime or any ERP system.
· Good understanding of accounting principles, GST, TDS, Income Tax, and financial reporting.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, Lookup functions, and basic financial analysis.
· Knowledge of statutory compliance and audit procedures will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
