About the Role
Ideacraft Eventures Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Chinese Procurement Manager to establish and manage the complete procurement ecosystem between China and India.
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in international sourcing, supplier development, procurement, import operations, logistics coordination, and end-to-end supply chain management. The candidate must have strong knowledge of the Chinese electronics manufacturing market and should be capable of independently handling procurement operations from China.
The candidate must possess hands-on experience in sourcing Laptops, Desktops, Mobile Phones, Tablets, Computer Components, Networking Equipment, CCTV Products, Smart Devices, Consumer Electronics, Accessories, and other Tech Hardware products from China.
The role requires complete ownership of the procurement cycle—from identifying reliable manufacturers and negotiating commercial terms to managing production follow-ups, logistics, customs clearance, and successful delivery of products in India.
The candidate must be fluent in Mandarin Chinese and capable of independently communicating, negotiating, influencing, and building long-term relationships with Chinese manufacturers and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, source, and develop reliable OEM/ODM manufacturers and suppliers across China.
- Manage end-to-end procurement operations for laptops, desktops, mobile phones, tablets, networking products, CCTV equipment, computer peripherals, consumer electronics, accessories, and other technology hardware.
- Build and manage the complete China-to-India procurement process.
- Conduct supplier evaluation, factory selection, and vendor onboarding.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, MOQ, production timelines, contracts, and commercial agreements.
- Build strong and long-term relationships with Chinese manufacturers and suppliers.
- Coordinate product sampling, prototype approvals, production planning, quality inspections, and shipment schedules.
- Ensure timely procurement while optimizing product cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, logistics partners, and shipping agencies for smooth import operations.
- Handle import documentation, customs clearance, and international logistics.
- Ensure compliance with Indian import regulations and international trade requirements.
- Develop backup supplier networks to minimize procurement risks and supply chain disruptions.
- Monitor supplier performance based on quality, delivery timelines, pricing, and service levels.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Finance, Operations, and Management teams.
- Stay updated on China's electronics market, supplier capabilities, pricing trends, and new product developments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Business Administration (BBA/B. Com), Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, Mechanical), or a related discipline.
- MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Procurement, or International Business will be an added advantage.
- HSK Level 5 or HSK Level 6 (Mandarin Chinese) certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in China Procurement, International Sourcing, Electronics Procurement, or Tech Hardware Procurement.
- Proven experience in managing end-to-end procurement operations from China to India, including supplier sourcing, commercial negotiations, import documentation, logistics coordination, customs clearance, and supply chain management.
Required Experience
- Hands-on experience in sourcing Laptops, Desktops, Mobile Phones, Tablets, Computer Components, Networking Equipment, Consumer Electronics, CCTV Products, Smart Devices, Accessories, and other Tech Hardware products.
- Strong understanding of China's electronics manufacturing ecosystem.
- Experience working with suppliers located in Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Dongguan, Yiwu, and other major manufacturing hubs.
- Experience in setting up and managing complete procurement operations from China for an Indian organization.
- Strong knowledge of international procurement, freight forwarding, customs clearance, import documentation, and global supply chain operations.
- Thorough understanding of Incoterms (FOB, EXW, CIF, DDP) and international trade practices.
- Experience in supplier audits, factory visits, production planning, quality inspections, and vendor performance management.
