We are looking for a highly experienced Technical Project Manager who has grown from a strong backend development background and can successfully lead cross-functional engineering teams while remaining technically involved when required.
Job Summary
We are seeking a technically strong Project Manager with extensive backend development experience (preferably PHP or Node.js) who can bridge the gap between business and engineering.
The ideal candidate should not only manage projects but also understand architecture, review code, guide developers, perform technical estimations, participate in client discussions, support pre-sales activities, and ensure successful project delivery.
This is a leadership role requiring both technical expertise and excellent project management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
· Lead and mentor backend development teams.
· Review architecture, code quality, and technical implementation.
· Provide technical guidance to developers whenever required.
· Identify technical risks and recommend appropriate solutions.
· Ensure coding standards, best practices, and documentation are maintained.
· Collaborate with architects and senior developers on complex technical decisions.
Project Management
· Plan, execute, monitor, and successfully deliver multiple software development projects.
· Define project scope, milestones, timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables.
· Track project progress and proactively mitigate risks.
· Manage Agile/Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
· Coordinate with Development, QA, UI/UX, DevOps, and Product teams.
· Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality.
Client & Stakeholder Management
· Participate in client meetings and technical discussions.
· Gather and analyze business requirements.
· Translate business requirements into technical execution plans.
· Provide regular project updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
· Handle escalations and ensure high customer satisfaction.
Pre-Sales & Solutioning
· Participate in pre-sales discussions.
· Prepare technical proposals and solution documents.
· Estimate development effort, timelines, and resource requirements.
· Conduct feasibility analysis for new opportunities.
· Support the sales team during technical presentations and proposal discussions.
Quality & Delivery
· Work closely with QA teams to ensure product quality.
· Review test strategies and release plans.
· Ensure proper sprint planning and release management.
· Coordinate with Delivery Head for successful project execution.
· Drive continuous process improvement.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
· Strong backend development experience in PHP or Node.js.
· Solid understanding of software architecture and system design.
· Experience with REST APIs and microservices architecture.
· Good knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
· Familiarity with Redis, message queues, and caching strategies.
· Working knowledge of Git and version control systems.
· Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
· Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is an advantage.
Project Management Skills
· Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and SDLC.
· Experience managing cross-functional technical teams.
· Excellent project planning and estimation skills.
· Strong risk management and problem-solving abilities.
· Experience using Jira, ClickUp, Azure DevOps, or similar project management tools.
Soft Skills
· Excellent communication and presentation skills.
· Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
· Client-facing experience with international customers.
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience in the following domains will be given preference:

Experience in gaming or iGaming projects will be considered a significant advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
· Master’s degree is a plus.
· PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is highly preferred.
· Scrum Master (CSM/PSM), PRINCE2, or equivalent certifications are also desirable.
