The purpose of the role is to ensure end to end Quality Assurance of RM, PM and FG at KCL factories and vendor sites ( for Traded Goods ). Drive quality of the products through the entire production chain ( Moulding ) cycle (from raw materials to finished goods- final Customer) and supporting other functions to deliver high quality products that meet the specifications of the organization.
* Duties and Responsibilities - 1. Implement & Improve Quality Systems at manufacturing location to improve the Quality of product at the Patalganga factories and associated vendor sites. 2. ""Ensure availability of specifications for all the products in the plants and determine Adequacy of specification test Methods in coordination with R&D. 3. Prepares and maintains specifications & test method of molded parts as well packaging material (from quality standpoint) and documentation of the same etc. Ensure SAP updation & sap support of input materials & Finished Goods approval . "" 4. ""Deployment of routine work / Tasks to Asst managers ,taking review for completion of the same. 5. Ensure Manpower control & Management. "" 6. Monitor supplier quality and conduct quality assessments for both RM and PM and drive implementation of quality improvement plan at supplier sites for improvement in coordination with Purchase. 7. Support R&D and M&P from a QC/QA standpoint to ensure launch of NPD / EPD projects on time including evaluation 8. Review and analyse customer complaints in-depth and create action plans in coordination with M&P , R&D & related functions for addressal of issues 9. Prepare Quality MIS reports on a regular basis and conduct analysis of data - Monthly report ( quality Level of RM , PM , FG & Customer Complaints for QA Department 10. Ensure all requirements of ISO IMS certifications for the plant are fulfilled. Oversee successful completion of external audit for ISO IMS certifications at Plant. 11. Ensure SRDR Review ( safety review & design review ) of NPD , EPD & cost saving projects in coordination with R&D & M&P team 12. To carry out root cause analysis and corrective action & preventive action in CFT team for quality issues & recurring customer complaints related to plant 13. To ensure proactive approach towards resolving quality issues & recurring complaints in the plant with CFT 14. To work towards implementing statistical tools such as 7QC tools ,SPC etc. for developing Quality Culture in Plant. 15. To work towards excellence in Quality in Japan glue stick project & related kokuyo projects in plant. 16. Ensure Inspection of molded articles as per the frequency & guidelines and on time , every time . Maintaining records of the same 17. Ensure that the rejection of molded parts is highlighted , discussed with all concerned and ensure that root cause analysis of the defect & capa Is done on time 18. Conducts supplier Audits (coordination with Purchase ) and internal audits at plants as per schedule 19. Ensure Support to Supplier Development by Purchase by conducting quality checks of new suppliers of packing materials, upon request by Purchase Department.
