Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Client Consultation: Outlining design goals, requirements, and budgets.
- Design Development: Creating sketches, 2D/3D models, and mood boards using software like AutoCAD or SketchUp.
- Space Planning: Designing layouts, including lighting, electrical, and furniture arrangements.
- Material Selection: Choosing materials, colors, flooring, and plumbing fixtures.
- Project Management: Working with contractors, inspectors, and vendors to ensure project specifications are met.
- Final Inspection: Reviewing completed projects to ensure client satisfaction.
Requirements and Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field.
- Software Proficiency: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of building codes, fire regulations, and structural requirements.
