Key Responsibilities
- Attend to customers promptly and assist them in selecting food and beverage items.
- Handle billing through the POS (Point of Sale) system and collect cash, UPI, card, or other digital payments.
- Ensure accurate cash handling and reconcile daily sales collections.
- Maintain adequate stock at the sales counter and coordinate with the kitchen for timely replenishment.
- Display food items attractively and ensure product availability during operating hours.
- Monitor the freshness and quality of food items before sale.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of the sales counter and dining area.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards as per institutional guidelines.
- Address customer queries and resolve minor complaints professionally.
- Assist in inventory counting and stock verification as assigned.
- Support promotional activities, combo offers, and special events conducted by the canteen.
- Prepare daily sales reports and submit them to the reporting manager.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and store team to ensure smooth operations.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the management.
Qualification
- Higher Secondary (12th Pass) / Diploma / Any Bachelor's Degree.
- Certification in Retail Sales or Hospitality is an added advantage.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in food service, retail sales, cafeteria, or hospitality.
- Freshers with good communication skills may also be considered.
