JOB DESCRIPTION – LOADMAN
Position: Loadman / Loader
Department: Project / Site Operations
Reporting To: Site Supervisor / Project Manager
Location: Coimbatore
Job Purpose
To support site operations by safely loading, unloading, shifting and arranging materials, equipment and tools at project locations. The Loadman should assist the site team in maintaining proper material handling and a clean and safe working area.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload equipment, pipes, pumps, tanks, materials and other project items from vehicles.
- Shift and arrange materials at the designated site/location as instructed by the Site Supervisor.
- Assist technicians, fitters, welders and other site personnel during installation and project activities.
- Handle materials carefully to avoid damage, wastage or loss.
- Assist in loading materials for transportation between office, warehouse and project sites.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper arrangement of the work area and storage locations.
- Follow instructions from the Site Supervisor and support daily site activities.
- Use appropriate safety equipment and follow all site safety rules and procedures.
- Report damaged, missing or unsafe materials/equipment to the concerned supervisor.
- Perform other site-support activities assigned by the management or supervisor.
Qualification & Experience
- Education: No specific qualification required; basic literacy preferred.
- Experience: 0–2 years in construction, fabrication, industrial, warehouse or project-site work preferred.
- Physically fit and capable of handling materials manually.
- Willingness to work at project sites and travel as required.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
