Job description
Key Responsibilities
1. Colour Matching & Development
- Develop and match colours as per design sheets / master samples
- Work on shade formulation using pigments, dyes, and resins
- Ensure minimum variation between approved sample and production batch
2. Lab Testing & Quality Control
- Conduct tests like:
- Shade matching under different light sources (D65, TL84, UV)
- Gloss level testing
- Surface finish evaluation
- Maintain shade cards / control samples
3. Instrument Handling
- Operate and calibrate:
- Spectrophotometer
- Gloss meter
- Light box
- Analyze E (Delta E) values for colour variation control
4. Production Support
- Coordinate with production & design teams
- Provide batch correction guidance during manufacturing
- Troubleshoot colour variation issues
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain lab records, test reports, and formulation data
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and SOPs
