We are looking for a visionary and execution-driven CTO to lead our Healthcare & Life Sciences technology charter.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and drive a 3–5 year technology vision, portfolio roadmap, and reusability standards
- Establish reference architectures, engineering standards, and governance (APIs, data, integration, AI/ML)
- Make build/buy/partner decisions aligned with business and GTM strategy
- Translate strategy into measurable OKRs and drive engineering excellence, including SaMD practices
- Lead development of multi-tenant SaaS and SaMD platforms with a focus on scalability, security, and performance
- Champion SRE/DRE practices, observability (e.g., OpenTelemetry), and automation-first operations
- Architect FHIR-native, API-first, microservices-based platforms with domain-driven design principles
- Ensure compliance with IEC 62304, ISO 13485, and FDA/CE regulations for SaMD and connected devices
- Collaborate with quality and regulatory teams to embed compliance into engineering processes
- Standardize event-driven architectures (Kafka), GraphQL/REST APIs, and API governance frameworks
- Ensure seamless interoperability across platforms, devices, and healthcare ecosystems
- Lead technical strategy for RFP/RFI responses including architecture, estimation, and solution design
- Conduct executive workshops, due diligence, and client advisory engagements
- Build and manage strategic alliances with hyperscalers and platform providers (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
- Drive co-sell strategies and marketplace presence
- Represent the organization at industry forums, conferences, and publications
- Contribute to standards bodies and establish brand credibility in healthcare technology
- Design and scale technology teams across architecture, platform engineering, data/AI, and security
- Foster a culture of innovation, agility, accountability, and continuous learning
- Implement transparent metrics and blameless postmortem practices
- Drive development of reusable accelerators (APIs, data pipelines, MLOps frameworks, cybersecurity playbooks)
- Encourage IP creation, patents, and knowledge-sharing ecosystems
Experience & Qualifications:
- 18–25 years of progressive technology leadership experience
- 15+ years in Healthcare / Medical Devices domain
- Proven expertise in enterprise software engineering, cloud platforms, SaMD, and SaaS at scale
- Strong understanding of healthcare workflows, device ecosystems, telehealth, and automation
