Job Title: VMC Setter / Programmer
Experience: 10–13 Years
Qualification & Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of 2D Programming.
- Hands-on experience with 4th Axis Machining and Indexer.
- Proficiency in Macro Programming (preferred).
- Knowledge of CAM Programming (preferred).
- Experience in New Product Development (NPD), including process planning, machining feasibility, and trial component development.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Strong understanding of CNC machining processes.
- Proficient in using precision measuring instruments.
- Experience in tooling selection, cutting parameter optimization, and cycle time improvement.
- Knowledge of production documentation and manufacturing records.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently set up and operate VMC (Vertical Machining Center) machines.
- Perform 2D programming for machining operations.
- Handle 4th Axis and Indexer machining jobs.
- Participate in New Product Development (NPD) by developing machining processes for new components.
- Conduct first-off trials, process validation, and prove-out of new programs.
- Coordinate with Design, Production, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering teams during new product development.
- Optimize machining processes to improve productivity, quality, and cost.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and programming issues.
- Prepare and maintain production documentation, including setup sheets, process sheets, tool lists, work instructions, inspection records, and machine parameter records.
- Update process documentation for engineering changes, new product introductions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, customer specifications, and safety requirements.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- 10–13 years of experience as a VMC Setter / Programmer.
- Proven experience in NPD (New Product Development) and new component development.
- Strong expertise in CNC machining, process planning, and program optimization.
- Experience in preparing and maintaining production and process documentation.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T, and use precision measuring instruments.
- Experience in tooling selection, fixture development, and process improvement.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and support cross-functional teams.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
