Jital Solutions is looking for a skilled Plant Automation Engineer/Manager to lead automation initiatives, improve manufacturing efficiency, and support Industry 4.0 transformation in client manufacturing plants. The role involves implementing automation systems, connecting machines to digital platforms, and improving operational performance through data-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Automation & Smart Factory Implementation
- Design and implement plant automation solutions.
- Enable machine connectivity and real-time production monitoring.
- Support smart factory initiatives including Industry 4.0, IIoT, and digitalization.
- Work on technologies such as Ignition, machine connectivity, and automation dashboards.
2. PLC, SCADA & Control Systems
- Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLC systems (ABB, Mitsubishi, etc.).
- Develop and maintain SCADA systems for plant monitoring.
- Work with VFDs, sensors, transmitters, and industrial control systems.
3. Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance for automated equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and automation-related issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
4. Project Execution & Commissioning
- Support installation and commissioning of automated machinery and production lines.
- Review electrical drawings, control architecture, and P&ID diagrams.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams during automation project execution.
5. Process Improvement
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Kaizen, and OEE improvement initiatives.
- Analyze machine data to improve cycle time, productivity, and efficiency.
- Identify automation opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Instrumentation / Electrical / Automation Engineering.
- 4–7 years of experience in plant automation, industrial maintenance, or manufacturing automation.
- Hands-on experience with PLC, SCADA, VFDs, and industrial instrumentation.
- Knowledge of factory automation, machine connectivity, and digital manufacturing.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Ignition SCADA, Power BI, or industrial data analytics tools.
- Exposure to Industry 4.0, IIoT, robotics, or digital twin technologies.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, and OEE improvement.
