About the Role
We are looking for a professional, organised, and people-oriented HR professional to manage day-to-day HR operations and support the school in maintaining a positive, professional, and compliant work environment. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, good knowledge of HR practices, and the ability to independently handle employee-related matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, documentation, probation, confirmation, transfers, and exit formalities. Handle end-to-end recruitment and selection for teaching, administrative, and support staff.
- Prepare and maintain employee files, joining documents, contracts, HR records, and other personnel documentation.
- Coordinate interviews, reference checks, selection processes, and joining formalities.
- Maintain accurate attendance, leave, and employee records and coordinate with the concerned departments for payroll inputs.
- Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, leave applications, and compliance with school policies.
- Support the implementation and communication of HR policies, procedures, and the school's Code of Conduct.
- Handle employee grievances and workplace concerns professionally and confidentially.
- Conduct employee engagement activities and support a positive workplace culture.
- Coordinate staff induction, orientation, training, and professional development programmes.
- Monitor probation periods and ensure timely performance feedback and confirmation processes.
- Maintain records related to employee performance, warnings, disciplinary actions, and other HR matters.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with management on staffing requirements, manpower planning, and employee-related decisions.
- Prepare HR reports, MIS, and regular updates for school leadership.
- Ensure confidentiality and appropriate handling of employee information.
- Coordinate with employees regarding salary-related queries and other HR matters.
- Support the school management in maintaining professional standards and workplace discipline.
- Perform other HR-related duties assigned by the management.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- MBA/PG Diploma in HR will be an added advantage.
- 2–6 years of relevant HR experience; school/education-sector experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of recruitment, employee relations, attendance, leave management, and HR documentation.
- Good understanding of basic labour laws and statutory HR compliance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office/Google Workspace and HR or attendance management systems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee matters professionally.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
