About Glory Shipmanagement
Glory Shipmanagement is looking for an experienced and proactive Technical Superintendent to join our team and oversee the technical management, maintenance, and compliance of vessels under our management.
Key Responsibilities
· Oversee the technical operations, maintenance, repairs, and performance of assigned vessels.
· Plan, coordinate, and manage floating dock assignments, including repair specifications, budgeting, shipyard coordination, and supervision of works.
· Coordinate with vessel Masters, Chief Engineers, shipyards, vendors, and service providers.
· Liaise with Maharashtra Maritime Board (MMB), DG Shipping, MMD, Classification Societies, and other relevant authorities.
· Coordinate Class and statutory surveys, inspections, audits, and ensure timely closure of observations and non-conformities.
· Monitor vessel maintenance, planned maintenance systems, technical defects, and repairs.
· Manage technical budgets, procurement, spares, and repair costs.
· Provide technical support during breakdowns and emergencies, including outside regular working hours when required.
Requirements & Qualifications
· Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar technical role involving Floating Dry Docks or equivalent marine infrastructure.
· Prior experience in managing or coordinating Floating Dry Dock operations and maintenance will be preferred.
· Sound knowledge of statutory survey requirements and experience liaising with Class and Indian maritime authorities.
· Familiarity with the audit cycle and compliance requirements.
· Strong technical, planning, coordination, and communication skills.
· Candidates residing in or around Belapur / Navi Mumbai will be preferred.
· Must be willing to work flexible hours and on a 6-day work week, based on operational requirements.
