- Additional qualification in Labour Laws will be an added advantage.
Job Purpose
To manage day-to-day HR operations at the manufacturing plant by ensuring effective recruitment, onboarding, employee lifecycle management, attendance, statutory compliance coordination, employee engagement, and HR administration while supporting the plant in achieving its business objectives.
Key Responsibilities1. Talent Acquisition
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for plant manpower including staff and workmen.
- Source candidates through job portals, consultants, referrals, and local hiring channels.
- Coordinate interviews with department heads.
- Negotiate salary and manage offer roll-out.
- Ensure timely joining and smooth onboarding of new employees.
2. Employee Onboarding & Induction
- Conduct employee induction and orientation programmes.
- Complete joining formalities and documentation.
- Coordinate employee ID cards, uniforms, and onboarding requirements.
- Maintain employee personal files and HR records.
3. Attendance & Leave Management
- Monitor daily attendance through biometric systems.
- Verify attendance, overtime, shift schedules, and leave records.
- Coordinate with payroll for attendance inputs.
- Resolve attendance-related issues.
4. HR Operations
- Maintain employee database and HRMIS.
- Process employee confirmations, transfers, promotions, and separations.
- Prepare HR letters including appointment, confirmation, warning, appreciation, and experience letters.
- Ensure employee records are updated and confidential.
5. Employee Engagement
- Organize employee engagement activities, celebrations, and welfare initiatives.
- Conduct employee feedback sessions.
- Support grievance handling and employee counselling.
- Promote a healthy and positive work culture.
6. Performance Management
- Coordinate the Performance Management System (PMS).
- Follow up with department heads for KRA/KPI reviews.
- Maintain appraisal documentation.
- Support increment and promotion processes.
7. Training & Development
- Coordinate technical and behavioural training programmes.
- Maintain training records and attendance.
- Evaluate training effectiveness.
- Support skill development initiatives across departments.
8. Statutory Compliance Support
- Coordinate statutory compliance related to:
- Factories Act
- Shops & Establishments Act (where applicable)
- EPF
- ESIC
- Labour Welfare Fund
- Professional Tax
- Maintain statutory registers and HR compliance records.
- Coordinate with consultants for labour law compliances.
9. Payroll Coordination
- Provide monthly attendance and payroll inputs.
- Verify leave, overtime, incentives, and deductions.
- Coordinate with payroll for timely salary processing.
- Address employee payroll queries.
10. Employee Relations
- Handle employee grievances in a timely manner.
- Maintain harmonious employee relations within the plant.
- Support disciplinary processes and domestic enquiry documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and code of conduct.
11. HR Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare monthly HR MIS reports.
- Track recruitment status, manpower, attrition, absenteeism, overtime, and employee movement.
- Maintain all HR documentation for audits and internal reviews.
12. Administration Support
- Coordinate housekeeping, canteen, transport, uniforms, and other employee welfare activities.
- Support plant administration whenever required.
- Coordinate with vendors for HR and administrative services.
