Commercial Manager – Manufacturing Unit

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to oversee procurement, inventory, logistics, and overall commercial operations at our manufacturing facility in Agartala. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in managing commercial functions within a manufacturing environment and be capable of ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage procurement and vendor relationships to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Oversee inventory, stores, dispatch, and logistics operations.
- Coordinate with production, accounts, and administration teams for seamless plant operations.
- Monitor stock levels, material movement, and cost control measures.
- Negotiate with suppliers and service providers to achieve cost-effective procurement.
- Ensure proper documentation, compliance, and commercial reporting.
- Prepare MIS reports and support management in operational decision-making.
- Lead and mentor the commercial team to achieve business objectives.
Requirements
- 12–16 years of experience in Commercial, Procurement, Supply Chain, or Logistics functions within a manufacturing unit.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, vendor development, and commercial operations.
- Good communication, negotiation, and team management skills.
- Experience working with ERP systems and MS Office applications.
- Ability to handle multiple functions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Candidate
- Candidates with experience in manufacturing industries such as plywood, FMCG, building materials, engineering, packaging, or similar sectors will be preferred.
