Role Summary
We are looking for a technically precise, fast-working AutoCAD draftsman who can translate site measurements, design briefs, and rough sketches into clean working drawings — and accurately quantify areas, materials, and components from those drawings.
You will be a core support function for our project execution and design teams across Mumbai and other cities. The volume of drawing and quantification work is consistent and growing. This is an office-based, output-driven role.
Landscaping domain knowledge is NOT required. Site-specific drawing standards will be trained internally. What is required is AutoCAD speed, drawing cleanliness, and quantification accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Drafting
- Prepare 2D layout drawings, planting plans, green wall layouts, planter placement drawings, and site plans in AutoCAD
- Convert site measurements, hand sketches, or reference images into accurate, production-ready CAD drawings
- Prepare GFC (Good For Construction) drawing sets for project execution teams
- Maintain structured, well-named file libraries — organised by city and project
- Execute multiple revision cycles per project based on site feedback; revisions must be fast and clean
Quantification
- Measure and extract quantities directly from AutoCAD drawings — areas (sq.ft.), linear dimensions, counts, grid spacing
- Prepare material take-off sheets: plant counts, green wall square footage, planter quantities, soil/media volumes
- Support project teams in preparing accurate BOQs (Bills of Quantities) from drawing inputs
- Cross-verify site measurements against drawings; flag discrepancies proactively before they reach the client
Documentation & Coordination
- Maintain a structured drawing register for all active projects
- Coordinate with Project Managers for site inputs, measurement data, and drawing briefs
- Present quantification outputs in clean Excel sheets — ready for use in quotations and BOQs
AI & Tool Adoption
- Use AI tools to accelerate repetitive drafting tasks where applicable
- Open to learning CAD automation scripts, parametric tools, and AI-assisted drafting as the company invests in these areas
What We Are Looking For
- Strong, demonstrable AutoCAD 2D proficiency — speed is the primary requirement, not just accuracy
- Clean drawing discipline: proper layers, line weights, text standards, dimensioning, and file naming
- Quantification accuracy — ability to extract real, reliable numbers from drawings and own them
- Basic Excel proficiency — to log and present quantification outputs clearly
- Self-directed working style — able to work from a brief and site notes without step-by-step supervision
- Active interest in AI tools; must not be resistant to technology adoption
AutoCAD 3D / SketchUp / D5 Render knowledge is a bonus but is not required at entry level.
What This Role Is NOT
- Not a site supervisor role — this is a full office-based drawing and quantification function
- Not a creative design role — you execute and refine drawings; design direction comes from the design and project team
- Not a junior drafting assistant — you are expected to produce accurate, production-quality drawings independently
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
