Role description
We are seeking a skilled OCI Engineer to manage, support, and optimize cloud infrastructure hosted on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The role involves provisioning, monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring high availability and security of cloud environments. Key Responsibilities 1. OCI Infrastructure Management Provision and manage OCI resources: Compute (VMs, Bare Metal) Storage (Block, Object, File Storage) Networking (VCN, Subnets) Perform resource scaling, optimization, and cost control Manage images, snapshots, and lifecycle operations 2. Networking & Security Configure and manage: VCN, Route Tables, Gateways (IGW, NAT, DRG) Security Lists & Network Security Groups (NSG) Implement IAM policies, compartments, and access controls Ensure compliance with security standards (CIS / internal policies) 3. Monitoring & Incident Management Monitor infrastructure using OCI native tools Configure s, metrics, and dashboards Handle incidents: L1/L2 troubleshooting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Work within SLA timelines 4. Backup & Disaster Recovery Implement and manage backup strategies Perform restoration and recovery testing Support DR drills and failover activities 5. Patch & Change Management Perform OS patching and updates Execute changes as per ITIL processes Coordinate with stakeholders during maintenance windows 6. Performance & Capacity Management Monitor resource utilization and performance Recommend tuning and optimization Forecast capacity requirements
