Role Overview
The Assistant Manager is responsible for reviewing financial records, ensuring strict compliance with accounting standards, and verifying the accuracy of all bookkeeping entries. This role requires a meticulous candidate who can identify discrepancies and suggest process improvements, groom the subordinates and provide them training to fill the gap of skill sets.

Technical Skills & Compliance

Australian Regulations: Candidates must have a strong understanding of Australian tax laws, Business Activity Statements (BAS), GST, and payroll regulations.

Standard Compliance: The role ensures all work complies with Australian accounting standards and ATO (Australian Taxation Office) regulations.

Software Proficiency: Experience with Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks is required.

Financial Review: Key duties include verifying accounts payable/receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and financial reports.
Qualifications & Experience
Educational Background: Requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Commerce, or an MBA in Finance & Accounting. Professional qualifications like CA, CMA, or Inter-level (not pursuing further studies) are also accepted.
Experience: A minimum of 3-4 years in bookkeeping or financial review roles is necessary. Also, should have experience in handling a team of 3-5 people.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are mandatory.
