The Senior Manager – Sales (Insurance) will be responsible for leading the sales function for Finvasia’s insurance products. This individual must have a strong background in the insurance sector, with a proven track record in managing teams, developing sales strategies, and achieving targets. The ideal candidate will focus on driving market penetration, client relationships, team leadership, and revenue growth across various insurance products.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Execution:
Develop and implement sales strategies that promote the growth of life insurance, health insurance, vehicle insurance, home insurance, and corporate insurance solutions. Ensure that the sales strategies align with Finvasia’s overall business objectives and market expansion goals.
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead, mentor, and motivate the insurance sales team to consistently achieve sales targets. Conduct regular performance evaluations, identify training needs, and cultivate a high-performance culture within the team.
Revenue & Target Management:
Set clear and achievable revenue targets for each insurance product category. Track sales performance, manage the sales pipeline, and ensure that all targets are met or exceeded to maximise profitability.
Business Development:
Identify and capitalise on new business opportunities by establishing relationships with potential clients across sectors. Collaborate with internal teams to create customised insurance solutions for clients’ needs.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients. Understand their insurance needs and provide tailored solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and foster long-term partnerships.
Market Analysis & Competitor Insights:
Stay up to date with market trends, industry developments, and competitor offerings. Use this market intelligence to refine sales strategies, stay competitive, and identify growth opportunities within the insurance sector.
Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
Collaborate closely with internal teams from Marketing, Operations, Risk Management, and Claims to ensure seamless execution of the sales process, from prospecting to policy issuance and customer service.
Reporting & Analytics:
Prepare regular reports for senior management, detailing sales performance, market dynamics, and forecasts. Use data and insights to refine sales strategies, improve conversion rates, and drive continuous growth.
Compliance & Risk Management:
Ensure that all sales activities comply with regulatory guidelines and Finvasia’s compliance framework. Promote ethical sales practices and ensure that risks related to client acquisition and insurance policy sales are mitigated.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is required. An MBA or insurance-related certifications is preferred.
Experience:
10+ years of experience in a sales leadership role within the insurance or financial services industry. Proven success in managing sales teams and achieving targets for various types of insurance products.
