Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible and proactive Purchase Executive for Packing Material who can independently handle the procurement of packing materials required for factory operations. The candidate should be capable of placing orders, preparing purchase orders, following up with vendors, coordinating urgent material requirements, and ensuring timely availability of all packing materials as per production needs.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement & Purchasing
- Handle end-to-end procurement of packing materials for factory requirements.
- Identify material requirements from stores / production / packing department and arrange timely purchase.
- Place orders with approved vendors as per requirement.
- Negotiate rates, delivery timelines, and payment terms whenever required.
- Ensure continuous availability of packing materials to avoid production stoppage.
Purchase Order Management
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) accurately as per company process.
- Maintain proper purchase records, quotations, comparative statements, and vendor details.
- Verify quantity, specifications, rates, and delivery terms before finalizing purchase.
Vendor Coordination & Follow-up
- Regular follow-up with vendors for order confirmation, dispatch, and timely delivery.
- Coordinate with suppliers for pending orders, urgent dispatches, and replacement if required.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with vendors for smooth procurement operations.
- Search for alternate vendors whenever needed for better pricing or urgent supply.
Urgent Material Arrangement
- Arrange packing materials on an urgent basis whenever there is an immediate production requirement.
- Coordinate quickly with local suppliers / transporters / vendors to ensure emergency material availability.
- Take ownership of critical and time-bound procurement requirements.
Internal Coordination
- Coordinate with store, production, dispatch, and accounts departments for smooth purchase operations.
- Communicate material status, expected delivery, pending items, and urgent issues to management.
- Ensure proper inward coordination after material receipt.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain purchase data, vendor follow-up reports, pending order status, and material requirement records.
- Keep proper track of delivery schedules, pending materials, and stock requirement planning.
- Support in reconciliation of invoices, challans, and purchase-related documents if required.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of purchase and procurement process

- Basic computer knowledge: Excel, email, purchase records
- Responsible, active, and problem-solving attitude
- Ability to work under pressure and manage urgent requirements
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in packing material purchase / factory purchase / store purchase
- Knowledge of packaging items such as boxes, rolls, tapes, labels, pouches, liners, etc.
- Experience in vendor handling and urgent procurement coordination
- Candidate should be proactive, practical, and capable of taking follow-up independently
Experience
- 2 to 5 years in Purchase / Procurement / Packing Material Purchase
(Freshers with strong practical knowledge can also be considered if suitable)
Education
- Any Graduate / Commerce / Management / relevant experience-based profile
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
