Job Description – Chief Financial Officer (CFO) / Chartered Accountant (CA)

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced CA / CFO to lead the Finance & Accounts function for our healthcare organization. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in financial planning, accounting, taxation, compliance, budgeting, MIS, cash-flow management, internal controls, and business finance.
The role will involve working closely with the management team to drive financial discipline, improve profitability, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide strategic financial insights for business growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management & Strategy
- Lead the overall Finance & Accounts function and establish robust financial processes.
- Develop and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, cash-flow plans, and financial targets.
- Provide management with financial analysis and insights for business decisions.
- Monitor revenue, costs, margins, profitability, and working capital.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and improved financial efficiency.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Accounting & MIS
- Oversee day-to-day accounting, books of accounts, reconciliations, and financial closing.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and MIS reports.
- Develop management dashboards and financial KPIs.
- Monitor branch-wise / business-unit-wise financial performance.
- Ensure proper accounting controls across all locations and business verticals.
Taxation & Compliance
- Ensure timely and accurate compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, ROC, and other applicable statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with statutory auditors, tax consultants, internal auditors, and regulatory authorities.
- Manage tax assessments, audits, notices, and related documentation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable financial and corporate laws.
Internal Controls & Risk Management
- Establish and strengthen financial controls and approval mechanisms.
- Monitor expenses, payments, receivables, and vendor settlements.
- Identify financial risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
- Conduct periodic review of financial processes and controls.
Business Finance
- Partner with the management team on expansion, new clinics, investments, pricing, and business growth initiatives.
- Evaluate the financial viability of new projects and business opportunities.
- Support fundraising, banking relationships, financing, and working-capital requirements.
- Track key financial and operational metrics and recommend corrective actions.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Accuracy and timeliness of monthly MIS and financial reporting
- Budget vs. actual performance
- Improvement in profitability and EBITDA
- Cash-flow and working-capital management
- Timely statutory compliance with minimal penalties
- Reduction in unnecessary operational costs
- Accuracy of books and audit readiness
- Strengthening of internal financial controls
- Timely closure of audits and financial reconciliations
Candidate Profile
Essential:
- CA qualification from ICAI.
- 8–15+ years of relevant experience, preferably with experience in a CFO / Finance Head / Senior Finance Manager role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting, taxation, financial reporting, and statutory compliance.
- Strong understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, EBITDA, working capital, and financial modelling.
- Experience managing finance teams and multiple business units / locations.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
Preferred:
- Experience in healthcare, clinics, hospitals, D2C, e-commerce, or multi-location businesses.
- Experience working directly with founders / promoters.
- Exposure to business expansion, financial restructuring, cost optimization, and strategic planning.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems.

Salary: Competitive, based on experience and expertise

Pay: ₹36,594.54 - ₹70,000.00 per month
