Key Responsibilities
- Instruction & Planning: Design and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Assessment & Evaluation: Create, administer, and grade assignments, quizzes, and exams to track student progress.
- Classroom Management: Establish clear behavioral rules and maintain a disciplined, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.
- Student Support: Provide personalized attention to help struggling students, challenge advanced learners, and support those with special needs.
- Communication: Conduct parent-teacher conferences and provide regular progress reports on academic and social behavior.
- Mentorship & Admin: Act as a role model, monitor attendance, maintain accurate records, and supervise extracurricular activities or field trips.
Core Requirements
- Education: Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Master's degrees or specialized subject degrees are often preferred).
- Licensure: Valid state or national teaching certification/license, depending on the school and location.
- Skills: Patience, empathy, strong communication, classroom management, and proficiency in educational technologies.
