A CNC Press Brake Bending Machine Operator works in sheet metal manufacturing. The operator uses a CNC press brake machine to bend metal sheets into required shapes and angles according to drawings.
Main Job Responsibilities
* Read engineering drawings and bending plans
* Set up tools, punch & dies in the machine
* Load metal sheets on the machine
* Operate CNC control panel
* Measure bending angle and dimensions
* Check finished parts quality
* Adjust machine settings if bending is incorrect
* Maintain machine cleanliness and safety
* Handle production targets
Skills Required
* Basic drawing reading knowledge
* Measurement tools use:
* Vernier caliper
* Measuring tape
* Angle gauge
* Knowledge of sheet metal thickness
* Understanding of bend allowance and bend deduction
* CNC programming basics (in some companies)
* Safety awareness
