Shopify Developer
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Shopify Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-performing Shopify stores. The ideal candidate should have experience in Shopify theme development, app integration, website customization, and e-commerce optimization to deliver an exceptional online shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, customize, and maintain Shopify websites and themes.
- Build responsive, user-friendly, and high-performance e-commerce stores.
- Customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Shopify APIs.
- Install, configure, and integrate third-party Shopify apps and plugins.
- Develop custom Shopify features and functionality based on business requirements.
- Optimize website speed, performance, and SEO for improved user experience.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with designers, content creators, and marketing teams to implement website updates and campaigns.
- Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.
- Maintain website security and perform regular backups and updates.
- Test new features before deployment to ensure quality and functionality.
- Monitor website performance and recommend improvements for conversions and customer experience.
- Stay updated with the latest Shopify features, technologies, and e-commerce trends.
- Prepare technical documentation and provide ongoing support for Shopify stores.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a Shopify Developer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Shopify, Shopify Plus (preferred), and Liquid templating language.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and responsive web design.
- Experience with Shopify APIs, custom app integration, and third-party tools.
- Familiarity with Git/version control systems.
- Understanding of SEO best practices and website performance optimization.
- Knowledge of payment gateway integration and e-commerce workflows.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Shopify Plus.
- Knowledge of React, Node.js, or modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Meta Pixel integration.
- Understanding of UX/UI principles and conversion rate optimization (CRO).
- Basic knowledge of graphic design tools such as Figma or Adobe XD is an added advantage.
