Sales Executive / Business Development Executive – Freight Forwarding

Key Responsibilities: Business Development
- Identify and acquire new customers for freight forwarding and logistics services.
- Generate business opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, and market research.
- Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, and commercial negotiations.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with importers, exporters, manufacturers, and traders.
- Understand customer logistics requirements and offer customized freight solutions.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
Sales & Revenue Generation
- Achieve assigned sales and revenue targets.
- Prepare and submit quotations, proposals, and pricing offers.
- Coordinate with operations and pricing teams to provide competitive freight solutions.
- Promote cross-selling and upselling of logistics services, including transportation, customs clearance, and warehousing.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies.
- Identify new business opportunities across target industries.
- Stay updated on shipping lines, airlines, trade lanes, and industry developments.
Internal Coordination
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Customer Service, Documentation, and Pricing teams.
- Ensure smooth execution of shipments and timely resolution of customer issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2–6 years of sales experience in Freight Forwarding, Logistics, Shipping, or Supply Chain.
- Strong knowledge of Air Freight, Sea Freight (FCL/LCL), Import & Export Operations, Customs Clearance, and Logistics Services.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong customer relationship management and business development abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of working independently.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Existing network of importers, exporters, manufacturers, or logistics clients will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of freight forwarding operations and logistics solutions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
